Too powerful not to reblog… For all those people who have faught, or are still fighting. Who got through it, or who didn’t. Reblog it for them.

I vowed never not to reblog this.

I’ll never forget the first time my mom saw herself without bandages after the surgery. She howled in tears and it took her forever to spit out the words, ”I look like a mutant”. It’s such a powerful image, in photos almost as much as in person.
